• This proposed development offers a resort-style plan with enclosed corridors. The ground floor retail and services are incorporated into the body of the building, offering convenient sheltered access by residents, but also easy access to others in the community. The increased accessibility ensures a larger and more vibrant mix of retailers. In addition, the developers have proposed offering office/service lease space to a variety of City and NGO service providers who cater to the City's senior population. Having these providers in a common location in an easily accessible location on the bus system offers "one-stop shopping" for seniors in Mesquite. The high quality and large proposed unit sizes ensure the development will be a premium active senior resort-style community. The developers have allocated significant space in the building for amenities and common space for gathering and recreation.
• The design may change and is dependent on market study and approval by HUD for financing. The idea is to incorporate active adult multi-family and a small portion of retail/services into one high profile complex. The Mayor and City Council are very supportive of our efforts.
